Competitions are held annually by registered chapters and are typically located in malls, museums, lobbies and exhibition centers. Each chapter is responsible for soliciting competing teams and fundraising to host the event. Local chapters submit competition results and digital photographs of the winners to compete in the annual Canstruction International Competition.
Competing teams are responsible for purchasing canned food and designing/building their structures. Teams must be led by an architect, engineer and/or designer and must follow our official rules and regulations. Teams are judged in six categories by local jurors and receive awards at the end of the competition.
